La Trivineta’s project involves sorting and recycling PVC scraps to make compounds that can be used in standard production processes. That involves a system and internal procedure to collect the PVC scraps with the same features, and re-working of the PVC scraps with mill and extruder to produce regenerated PVC compound for cable manufacturing. The following objectives have been achieved in the last 18 months: increased PVC regeneration capacity from 200 to 600 kg/h and improved selection and mixing of PVC scrap for the production of regenerated compound. PVC scrap is reduced while maintaining the quality of compound required.
