In piping for water treatment, chemical processing and microelectronics and others, the IR PVC-U system combines the benefits of the PVC-U material with safe and reliable Infrared (IR) fusion technology. This will revolutionise the jointing technology for PVC-U piping systems, avoiding solvents which can pose a certain health and environmental risk. Solvent joints also potentially reduce chemical resistance and increase the leach-out, while the quality of the installation is difficult to monitor.
