Benvic is helping Abriblue ensure that its pool covers also lead the field in terms of high-value recycling within a circular economy. Abriblue’s production company NextPool – and its sub-contracting plastics extruder CJ Plast – teamed up with Ereplast, Benvic’s PVC recycling division in order to collect and recycle the pool cover off-cuts within a closed loop system. Abriblue’s covers have always been customized to the exact shape and dimensions of the customer’s pool and the final customisation process typically generates a significant volume of scrap on site. Benvic’s PVC recycling expertise has therefore been essential in turning this waste back into a brand new ‘2nd life’ profile designed by Next Pool.
