ARCUS Greencycling turns tricky PVC waste into pyrolysis oil

ARCUS Greencycling has developed its pyrolysis technology to treat non-mechanically recyclable PVC waste, enhancing circularity. In a project funded by VinylPlus, they processed mixed-plastic feedstock through bench- and industrial-scale trials. The result: high-quality pyrolysis oil that meets petrochemical specifications. Mixed waste included lead-free and lead-containing cable isolation and sheathing waste, medical waste including DEHP and post-consumer floor covering. ARCUS Greencycling and VinylPlus are confident this result can be reproduced at industrial scale.
