Closing the Loop: Sofos recycles its PVC cards with Svenskt Returkort

Across Sweden, Sofos has a takeback scheme for its plastic cards to close the lifecycle loop. Svenskt Returkort (Swedish Return Card) distributes recycling boxes to deposit used PVC cards, which are then shredded and recycled into new sheets at SPICA in Italy. Those takeback boxes are in libraries, fitness centres and other locations on a regularly updated map on the Svenskt Returkort website. To encourage cardholders to ”close the loop”, Sofos prints on the cards: “För miljön” or “For the environment”, and the website: svensktreturkort.se
